BEST COLORS FOR OUTSIDE FAMILY POINTS
NAVY CREAM AND TAN
A classic color scheme is navy, cream, and tan forPhotos of family that work well forEvery season. The cream and navy complement the spring pastels and bright greens perfectly. They are also great in green grass and foliage at a park. forFamily photos of summer. And these ‘neutral tones’ compliment the bright yellows and oranges of fall foliage.
GRAY, GOLD, PINK, AND GRAY
AQUA AND NAVY
CORAL AND NAVY
You will find most color schemes have one or two bright or vibrant colors paired with one or two ‘neutral’ tones. This outfit features coral as the main focal color. Navy, gray, white and other neutral tones help to balance the vibrant coral and ground this outfit.

Another example of a color scheme forA family picture that uses bright colors (yellow) in very small quantities. Then, he balances it out with neutrals (gray or navy).

WINE, CREAM, AND GOLD
I love this color scheme forPhotos of holiday families. Red and green are often the first things we think of when we think about holiday family photos. for Christmas pictures. However, using a color palette of wine cream and gold gives the Christmas spirit if you are planning to use them. forChristmas cards. It is classic enough to hang year-round, but it also looks great.
PINK TAN AND CREAM
The most popular colors are pink, cream, and tan. forPictures of the family at the beach. If you’re looking for a family outfit, this would be it. forIt is very monochromatic and subtle. The soft, pale pink used in this family ensemble almost acts as neutral. The tans, creams and sand tones echo the beach’s colors.

PEACH, BLUE, AND DENIM
A favorite color combination is peach, blue, and denim forFamily photos of spring. The peach is a perfect match for the pastel-toned spring flowers in Northeast Ohio. The denim acts as a neutral, keeping the outfit from being too bright with the many spring colors.
GRAY, MUSTARD, RED
RED, WHIITE AND BLUE
This combination of blue, white, red and blue just feels right forA family photo of the 4th July. Because it demands attention, red can be a difficult color to use in photographs. It can be used to create striking family portraits. Consider the location of your session if you are planning to use red in your color scheme. A backdrop of neutral tones, such as a beach session or an urban downtown session, would make a great backdrop. forThis color scheme. This may give your picture a Christmassy feel, even though it is a lush green area.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR PERFECT COLOR CHEME
Perhaps you were drawn to a particular color scheme. That’s great! Before you raid your closet or hit the store, let’s look a few tips to help you make sure that color scheme is a perfect fit. These tips will help you narrow down your choices to the most appealing. forYour family.
1. LOCATION
When selecting color schemes forBe sure to remember the location for your family photos when taking your family photos. Bright and vibrant colors can look great, but they are not the best. forThey may feel out of place in a field full of tall, wispy grasses during a session that is urban and downtown. If your surroundings are full of greenery, red can make your portrait look Christmassy.
2. HOME
Choose the best color for you. forBegin by looking at your home. You will need to decide where you want to hang your final portraits. Your decor may have colors that you want to incorporate into your final artwork. forYour walls. Wearing muted, soft colors would suit your style. Do you prefer cooler tones for decorating? Dress in cool tones.

Each person has a favorite color. It’s obvious. You know the one that everyone compliments when you wear it. Colors that complement our skin tone are what we gravitate to. You will find that warm colors, such as red, gold, oranges, or browns suit your skin tone best.

Cool skin is a good choice if you like cool colors, such as blues, purples, and grays. 
However, if you have multiple skin tones, it is possible to make your family look different. But you want to ensure everyone is happy with the colors you choose. It may seem impossible, but if there are members of your family who are warmer than others, there is an easy way to do it.
4. MAKE SURE YOUR COLOR TIME LOOKS AMAZING ON EVERYONE
You might love the aqua-blue color combination. But aqua doesn’t look great on your daughter. You could make your daughter stand out wearing the neutral anchor color. In this instance, it is navy blue. To tie the outfit together, add an aqua belt. This will ensure that the aqua in her belt rests on her navy dress, and not against her skin.
